SFC Nature Hunt
The Ichinose Lab (Kenkyukai) carries out wildlife surveys and habitat management across the SFC campus, working to conserve biodiversity on site and to advance nature-positive outcomes in the surrounding region. This value was formally recognized when SFC was certified as a Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Natural Site by the Ministry of the Environment. Building on that recognition, we continue to develop our research and to contribute to the local community. This tour takes you out of the classroom and into the woods, ponds, and grasslands of the campus. Insects underfoot, birds overhead, and plants you may have walked past a hundred times we hope you will come away seeing the campus as the habitat it is.
