The Industrious City
As a talk session connected to Hiromi Hosoya Laboratory's exhibition The Industrious City, we invite guests from outside the university to discuss the laboratory's activities. The laboratory focuses on spatial environments where living, working, and production can once again intersect, exploring urban structures in which these elements are integrated. This approach goes beyond the simple coexistence of residential and commercial functions; rather, it aims to achieve a more fundamental integration of space that brings creativity and livelihood back into daily life. We extend this perspective beyond urban areas to rural areas as well, seeking to redefine the relationship between urban and rural regions through the reorganization of daily life and local industries.
