Sustainable Natural Resource Management Based on an Understanding of Social-Ecological Systems
This exhibition introduces research activities aimed at understanding the complex interactions between human society and natural ecosystems, as well as exploring approaches to sustainable natural resource management. To address both human and natural systems, we present an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the social sciences (investigating human behavior and social structures) with the natural sciences (examining ecosystem mechanisms). Through specific projects concerning desertification, protected area management, regenerative organic agriculture, and urban human mobility, we showcase SFC's unique cross-disciplinary initiatives that balance deep specialization with broad interdisciplinary perspectives.
