Hiroya Tanaka Laboratory, established in 2005, explores the technology and expression of digital fabrication (Fab) from the perspective of design engineering. Since last year, the lab has been newly named the Urban Fabrication Lab/Machi-Mono-Tsukuri Lab, shifting its focus to the study of social implementation of Fab Technology as well as the study of urban design with the use of fabrication. During the exhibition, further details about the current study of the lab will be explained in the Z building.
