The Beginning of Street Corner Lifology in Tsujido Town

Tsujido, one town located in Fujisawa city, is a familiar neighborhood area where buses to SFC are also available. But how much do we know about Tsujido? This exhibit is an interim report of six months of Tsujido fieldwork by the Ryo Shimizu Lab, which was established in 2024. First, we will uncover the history hidden in the local landscape: the shopping mall at the north exit of the station, the narrow intricate streets at the south exit, and the housing complexes, parks, and schools along the coast. Second, we will look into the efforts of a young landowner, whom we met by chance while walking around the town, to build a landscape that promotes sustainable agricultural living and community building. The study begins in the street corner.
