The Shinya Fujii Research Group promotes research under the theme For the Future of Music, For the Music of the Future. There are two research groups: the NeuroMusic Lab (NML) and the x-Music Lab (x-Music Lab: XML). NML is a science lab that unravels the unknowns of music and scientifically explores the relationship between music and the brain/body. XML is a laboratory of artistic creation that explores the unknown realms of music. Each member aims to contribute to the music of the future by unifying ones body, mouth, and mind, setting research themes, and gaining a deep understanding of the power of music from the perspectives of both science and art. This exhibition will present the results of NML's work on music science, and exhibit musical works and performances by XML.
