Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu × SFC Panel Discussion “The Future of Next-Generation Mobility in the Forest of Health and Culture District
The transportation infrastructure at SFC has been supported by Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu since the campus opened in 1990. This partnership has served as a place for progressive initiatives for both parties, such as the introduction of the Twin Liner (articulated bus) along with the implementation of the Public Transportation Priority Systems (PPTS) in 2005.
Currently, joint demonstration tests of self-driving buses are also underway on campus. The event will touch on Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu's next-generation mobility initiatives and discuss the future of next-generation mobility that SFC and Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu envision for the urban development of the “forest of health and culture” district.

Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Special Exhibition "The Past, Present, and Future of Kanachu Bus”
The Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu has been with the Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) for more than 30 years as a key partner in supporting the transportation infrastructure at SFC.
The partnership has deepened further with the current joint demonstration tests of self-driving buses on campus.
SFC EXPO is pleased to announce the special exhibition on the past, present, and future of Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu.
The exhibition will include a panel display and feature actual vehicles, such as the Firewood Bus “Santago (三太号)”, an alternative fuel vehicle that was active at a time when petroleum fuels were scarce during and after World War II, and “SoKanKan (鴨池急行バス)”, a self-driving bus that is currently undergoing a demonstration test on campus.
As for the "Santago", a special event to start the engine by burning wood is also planned.
In addition to this, there will be a merchandise corner, photo booths, and other exciting programs for children and adults alike to enjoy and learn the history of the Kanachu Bus.
