Food-Energy-Water Nexus for Urban Decarbonisation

Urban decarbonisation is a pressing issue worldwide. However, it is not well understood how this can be embodied in urban development practice. This study constructs a nexus matrix of cities in seven sectors - food, energy, water, buildings, mobility, greenery and waste - and visualises them using FEWprint indix to enable quantitative evaluation of the effects of planning and design scenarios. This can be used to broadly support decarbonisation and assess the social impact of various sectors, including developers, municipalities, transport and retails.
